Looking for my long lost family in Hong Kong And previously.... Fell in love with coastal living 5 years ago. And moved to stunning St Ives. A place to create and grow and flourish. Got me a home and a job. And never looked back. Everyone talks and writes about the famous dead people of St Ives. Virginia and Alfred and Ben and Barbara and Peter and Wilhelmina. Well I thought I’d introduce you to some very nice folk, and they’re all very much alive and make St Ives a much the better town for it.

  1. Oh boy, indeed! I wish I could read the Chinese but the film is great and I love the pictures. You’re looking great and so smartly dressed! I wonder whose hand that is in your baby picture.
Sending hugs and lots of love xxx

    1. Hello Anna. I too have often wondered about that hand. I hope it’s my Mother’s. I think, if you’re going to make up a story, you may as well make it one that brings a smile to your face. So in that spirit, let’s agree it’s So Kam Lai’s hand. Until someone tells us something different. I hope you’ve had a wonderful Christmas with all your beloveds. Happy Christmas Oma!

    1. Hooray for Winnie the angel indeed. Could she be woven into Kate’s Storytree I wonder? Whilst I remember, you will not believe it, but here in Cat Ba, in this hotel, where there are very few guests, I bumped into three lovely girls from Hunningham who go to a school in Princethorpe. E, B and M. Won’t type their names in case it breaches privacy or something, the Chinese laws are obviously moderating my probably too reckless self. Anyway fancy that. Three lovely children from Warwickshire who annually go to Padstow for their holidays. Their Dad, a farmer owns Hilltop Farm, do you know it? Similar set up to Tamworth. Where families go to enjoy outdoor space, a wonderful farm shop, animals. I am sure they would benefit from Kate’s Storytree. Maggie who used to own it, is the Aunt of the new owner and was a very very good friend of a mutual close friend. So, if you’d like an intro, this is a too long way of saying let me know! I hope you’re taking good time out. Healing, restorative. Celebrating the Solstice. Christmas . In your own wonderful inimitable Kate style. xxxxxx
