Lucy in the sky

With diamonds. Yes, perhaps she will be wearing the diamonds I gave her for her 21st. But definitely a huge smile on her face when Cathay Pacific flight CX256 finally lands about one hour late at 17.15. Weds 9th January 2019. We’re both amazed how quickly it’s come round, I hope the next 2 weeks can go s l o w l y , yes S. L. O. W. L. Y.

Me, I’m on the A21 bus from Tsim Tsa Tsui to meet her. I’m beaming to myself, ear to ear, Vietnamese style. Big Vietnamese smiles don’t generally work in Hong Kong. People look at me a little strangely when I beam. There’s a very different feel about the people here, a bit more dog eat dog, faster and more furious. But they have the best transport system and lots of green men and zebra crossings where the cars actually stop when people cross. I wish I could combine the best of both the worlds. Hong Nam or Viet Kong has a good ring to it. And perhaps we can add in the Cornish coastal paths, a touch of Finland’s education system, a couple of National Parks, the very best from every country. What would you add? I wonder what Lucy would suggest and from which country. Can’t wait to ask her.
